Afia Dash is a mother, artist, and activist hailing from the Bronx, NYC. A world traveler and global citizen, her experiences across Africa, Asia, and Europe deeply inform her work, yet her roots remain firmly planted in the vibrancy and grit of New York City. Inspired by the energy of the subways and the bold storytelling of graffiti, Afia creates art that pulsates with color and movement, inviting viewers into the layers of her imagination.

Each piece is a visceral journey, blending strength, struggle, and resilience. Afia’s work is a protest—a tribute to her own fortitude and the enduring legacy of her ancestors.
